KENNEDY ANN: Road trip

Football season is here! It's nothing but football, football, football at our house until January. Go Horns!

I went on a road trip to Austin with Mommy and Daddy for the first Texas football game. We stayed at Barton Creek Resort and went to swim at Hamilton Pool (a swimming hole near Austin).

Halmoni and I didn't get to go to the game but we had so much fun back at the hotel...we ordered room service, swam in the pool for hours, and watched movies until way past my bedtime.

You may be thinking, "that outfit sure looks familiar." Well, I wore it last football season as a dress. This year, it's a cute shirt, paired with little white shorts. In case you didn't know, my Mommy likes to get the most for her money.

Here we are at the beginning of what Daddy told Mommy was a "short" 1/2 mile hike to Hamilton Pool. Well, now we know that when my dad says "short" hike, he really means: "long, treacherous hike where you may sprain your ankle carrying a baby (or maybe a cooler that you didn't even need) and should be wearing tennis shoes." I'm just saying.

We ended up making it to the "pool" safely thanks to my mom's hiking skills. Here I am looking at the water, wondering why it's so murky and green. Where is the chlorine?

The water is FREEZING! Can't we just go back to the nice hotel pool where the water is clear and blue? Please?

It only took me a little while to get used to the water and then I LOVED it.
