I'm 19 months old and I still don't have much to report in the hair department.
I'm talking non-stop now. Although I still talk in jibberish (a lot), I can pretty much repeat anything that you ask me to say. The bad thing is that I repeat some things that my mom and dad don't necessarily want me to repeat.
I'm also up to four-word sentences! Pretty impressive according to my pediatrician!
I also LOVE to sing songs. I can't sing every word to songs but I throw in a word every now and then with perfect timing.
Mommy thinks it's amazing how much information a toddler's brain can hold.
Currently, my favorite phrases are:
- I wat Me Mow! = I watch Mickey Mouse!
- I do! I do! I do!
- Bad dog Bee Bo! = Bad dog Bevo!
- More [jews, me-yok, wa-wa, coo-kee] peas! = More [juice, milk, water, cookie] please!
- I walk! (this means: I don't want to be carried; I don't want you to hold my hand)
- Daddy/Momma sit right here!
- Watch! I jump!
- Rhee book! = Read book!
- Bah bah, bah bah, bah bahhhh! = Pacifier, pacifier, pacifier!
- Whoaaaaa!
- Bye Momma. Momma work! (I say this about five different times while mommy is getting dressed for work)
- Watch t.v. upstairs! (that's where the big t.v. and all my DVDs are)
**The reason there is an exclamation mark next to every phrase is because I am currently going through a phase where I am incapable of using my inside voice. I yell everything.
My mom and dad think I do the funniest things:
- If we're at a restaurant and a boy walks by, I'll just yell out "Hi boy!" I never do that with girls, just boys.
- When I see my reflection in the mirror, I grin, slowly look away, look back, and grin again.
- When my mom shows me the outfit she is about to put on me, I say "ooooo!"
- Whenever my mommy goes tee-tee, I like to watch and give an air kiss to her tee-tee. "Mmmmm-mah!!!" (kind of gross but really cute).
- When we read "Pat the Bunny" and we get to the page where we feel daddy's scratchy face, I feel daddy's face and then say I want to feel "mommy's scratchy face."
- I "talk" on my toy phones with so much emotion and flair. I carry on conversations where I start off happy (Heh-woh?), become very angry and frustrated (in jibberish) at the person I'm speaking with while I'm waving my arm around, and then abruptly say "bye-bye!"
I'll eat just about anything, but my favorite foods are:
- Mac-n-cheese
- Turkey dogs
- String cheese
- Baked Cheetos
- Korean food
- Any soup
- Green beans
- Any pasta
- Pineapple
- Avocados
- My great-grandmother's chicken and rice
- Corn on the cob (I can eat two whole cobs)
